RRW teams always practice on a full sheet of ice, never a 1/2 ice practice.
Every practice combines:
We combine everything into one connected experience!
Consistent High Level Development All Season Long

RRW Hockey was founded in 2000 by Jay Kirk and Frank Lupiani.
Built from players others overlooked, RRW turned potential into performance.
Within 2 years, we were competing for State Championships, winning elite tournaments, and capturing league titles.
RRW Hockey was never about where you started- it's about how far you're willing to go.

Jay Kirk has trained hockey players for over 40 years from beginners to professionals.
He began training goaltenders at age 24, and forwards and defensemen at 26, giving him a rare, complete understanding of how every position develops.

Jay has coached and trained players from first time skaters to college athletes. His greatest strength is player development and team development - helping athletes build strong fundamentals, hockey IQ, confidence and habits that allow them to keep improving year after year.
His training systems and teaching methods are used by coaches and players around the world, all built on one goal:
helping players reach the best version of themselves.

RRW will provide 18 full ice practices and 9 to 12 games against WNY Midget teams to get the players prepared for the high school season. Our RRW team will have 18 players and two goalies, just like every high school team in Monroe County. Each practice will provide the following.
15 Minutes Of Skill Development
15 Minutes Of Specific Team Drills
20 Minutes Of Scrimmage / Game Training
This is the proper way to prepare your player to enjoy their high school season. Take advantage of the best preparation in Monroe County for Young Midget age players.

The 16U / 15U team will have a consistent split season practice / home game schedule.
RRW Hockey has always provided a family friendly schedule. There is no looking at your phone to see where practices are each week. Going to the wrong rink because you read it wrong, not with RRW Hockey. Always Paul Louis

Families become friends.
Players become hockey brothers.
Take our 1991 birth-year group as an example — brothers in every sense of the word. These players competed together for years, every one of them earning a spot on their high school varsity teams as freshmen.
At the Bantam Major (14U) level, RRW provided a split season, giving every player the chance to skate in front of hundreds of fans for their schools. After battling each other during the high school season, they returned to RRW, reunited as one team.
Together, they:
Many other RRW teams have shared the same journey and the same joy.
This is what RRW is all about:
Get them. Teach them. Watch them grow on and off ice.
Then bring them back to flourish once again — as one team, bonded brothers.
The opportunity is now yours.

As one of the founders of RRW Hockey in 2000, I spent countless hours building this program from the ground up. In just three years, RRW grew from 2 teams to 8 teams, driven by a clear philosophy: strong development, strong relationships, and a true hockey family.

Today, many former players and families are asking for what RRW once was — and what it can be again.
The foundation of that return starts where it always should: Learn To Skate and Cross Ice Programs. These programs will fuel our future growth from the bottom up.
The Learn To Skate and Cross Ice programs are pure fun. I will personally guide families through a season focused on growth, confidence, and enjoyment of the game.
With the assistance of former players and coaches we will grow our new coaching staff. We will provide opportunity to parents / siblings to participate with their future players on-ice each week.
